Reaching new Audiences: Awareness, Engagement, Partnerships and Advocacy
Maria Pavlou will discuss Tate’s strategy in reaching new audiences through content marketing, social media and third party partnerships.  Content, tone and timing are key ingredients to reaching audiences and targets at Tate. Engaging content has become central to Tate’s digital campaigns, and lead to Tate’s incredibly strong social media base of over four million subscribers.

Maria will describe how content is sourced, personalised, targeted and evaluated. The presentation will discuss major campaigns for the gallery,social media strategy, third party partnerships and how all visitor channels are integrated to create a successful multi-platform campaign.
Maria Pavlou is Digital Communications Officer for Tate, London.
Tate is at the forefront of museums and galleries in the UK in its innovative use of digital marketing media. Maria’s focus lies in attracting new audiences for Tate, and taking digital strategy in the new direction of content sharing outside of owned channels. She also looks after Tate’s marketing to international audiences. Maria joined Tate from the publishing sector and has helped Tate reach audiences with her accessible style, two-way targeted communication and experience with partnerships.
Maria’s publishing background at Penguin Random House has provided experience in working with rich media and keeping content at the heart of campaigns. Maria has worked across all channels of marketing, specialising in digital.
Tate is one of the most visited galleries worldwide. As well as curating blockbuster exhibitions, Tate houses the national collection of British Art, and International Modern and Contemporary Art.
